Join us on September 14 in DC for an exclusive event in partnership with the Association of Investment Management Sales Executives (AIMSE).

We’ll begin with a fascinating investment panel discussing trends, challenges and opportunities, followed by a signature cocktail reception and runway event with models walking the latest fashions from top designers from the DMV area fresh off NYC fashion week.

This will be an evening to remember at the beautiful and trendy Hook Hall in Northwest Washington, DC. Tickets are $500 per person, however, thanks to our generous sponsors, a limited number of WIPN DC members can attend for FREE.

In addition, this event will be supporting DC’s very own Suited for Change. Please bring dry-cleaned business attire to donate for this worthy cause.

Event Speakers

Chenae White Edwards

Chenae White Edwards is passionate about investments, educational focused non-profits and inspiring individuals to pursue their dreams.  At NEPC, she is a Partner where she advises endowments, foundations, and healthcare systems.  She is also a member of the Asset Allocation Committee, OCIO Governance Committee, and the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Network, which leads internal DEI initiatives.

Prior to her current role, Chenae worked with Goldman Sachs in Private Wealth Management and Sovereign’s Capital, a growth stage private equity firm.  She started her career as an external auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in North Carolina.

Chenae earned an MBA from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and a B.S. from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Chenae serves as an Executive Advisory Committee member for the Deese College of Business and Economics at North Carolina A&T State University. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Chenae resides in Washington, DC with her husband and daughter.

Nick Davies

Nick Davies is a Partner with Mercer in Washington DC and leads Mercer’s engagement with large investment clients in the US.  Nick’s global consulting responsibilities include serving as a senior investment consultant for sovereign wealth funds, defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans, as well as other investment trusts. Strategic focus across asset allocation, implementation and monitoring.

This includes helping set investment policy and guidelines and assisting clients with investment strategy, implementation and monitoring.  Focus on transformational investment ideas for large, complex clients including developing procedures and policies, consideration of ESG factors as well as implications for broader strategic asset allocation.

Previously US investment consulting business leader, enhancing the US value proposition across investment tools, advice and delegated solutions. Also as a Wealth office business leader, driving the growth of the retirement and investment businesses across the US mid-Atlantic geography and IMETA (India, Middle East, Turkey and Africa).

Prior to rejoining Mercer Investment Consulting in 2017, Nick was the Area President for Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.’s institutional investment and fiduciary services practice.  Nick was previously with Mercer from 2008 to 2013 and also brings prior plan sponsor experience, as well as investment and actuarial experience from the UK.

Nick holds a BA and MA in mathematical sciences from the University of Oxford in the UK and is also a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.

Daniel Miller

Daniel Miller is the Deputy Executive Director for the NYC Board of Education Retirement System (BERS), a $6 billion pension and 403B plan for the City’s non-pedagogical school employees. Daniel partners with the Executive Director and Trustees to implement necessary programs to achieve the objectives, mission, and goals of the agency. Daniel is responsible for the management of the investment program which includes development of policy guidelines, asset allocation strategy, and risk management parameters. Daniel has 15 years’ experience at BERS serving in various senior roles in project management, auditing, benefits administration, and risk management. Under Daniel’s leadership BERS has beat its 3, 5, and 10-year benchmarks, streamlined services for members, increased membership 25%, and has a funding ratio of 81%. Daniel has a master’s in management and finance from Columbia University and a bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Rhode Island.
