WIPN Cincinnati/Kentucky | Stress Management Without All the Guilt

May 15 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm EDT

Free

The demands on working women today are high. Though women are excelling in the workplace, many workplaces are struggling to find a new balance post-pandemic. Women still often do more than our fair share as caregivers at home too. And, in the midst of this, we are constantly reminded by doctors, scientists, and Instagram influencers to “manage our stress” and “make time for self-care” Really? How?

This session will show you how and it will do so without criticizing you for working hard or caring deeply about your work. In fact, it may even persuade you that your capacity to care deeply may be one of your best tools for long-term stress management. The thing is, though, is that it helps to understand stress.

The speaker, Claire E. Parsons, is no stranger to stress or hard work. She’s a lawyer, mom, mindfulness and compassion teacher, blogger, author of the books How to Be a Badass Lawyer and Mommy Needs a Minute. She’ll help you understand what stress is, some strategies for getting clearer about how it affects you, and practical tools to help you manage it better in your own life. You won’t feel guilty listening to this talk but you will learn something and you may even have fun.

Light snacks and drinks provided! Please RSVP by May 10th so we have an accurate headcount for food and space.
