PANELISTS

Dr. Allison Mason, DBA joined GCU in September 2008 and currently serves as the interim dean of the Colangelo College of Business (CCOB). Previous to her current role, she was an Associate Dean in CCOB and has worked in a variety of positions in higher education for over 16 years.

Dr. Mason is also the advisor for the CCOB Women in Business club at GCU, which has over 700 members. She earned a Doctor of Business Administration with an Emphasis in Management as well as a MBA with an Emphasis in Leadership from GCU, a MEd with an emphasis in Human Relations from Northern Arizona University, and a BS in Communications from Winona State University.

Sherri Trombley is a Director of Business Consulting & Education for Schwab Advisor Services. She oversees the strategic direction for advocacy of the RIA industry with colleges and universities across the country.

Sherri manages Schwab’s University Grant and RIA Talent Advantage Student Scholarship Programs – building partnerships with universities to cultivate the next generation of talent. Under her leadership, the University Grant Program has given over $17M in grants to universities and institutions with the Scholarship program receiving the industry award for Outstanding Achievement in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from WealthManagement.com.

Sherri also serves as a business liaison for the Schwab SIE University Partnership Program representing Schwab Advisor Services at various college campuses. Since joining Schwab in 1999, Sherri has held leadership roles in service, advisor transitions, and program management. She has built relationships with over 25 universities and institutions across the country and is passionate about building partnerships with organizations and advocating about the tremendous opportunities in the RIA industry to the next generation.

Katrina Santa Maria is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of M.S. Howells & Co. and the Chief Executive Officer of MSH Capital Advisors LLC and MS Insentra LLC. Katrina has been in the Securities industry since 1999 and oversees all aspects of these three affiliated firms. Under her leadership, she will ensure the firms reach their goals for growth and excellence. She began her securities career as a retail sales broker and became an institutional salesperson upon joining M.S. Howells & Co in 2001.

Katrina spearheaded the prime brokerage business, building out a prime brokerage platform, portfolio reporting services, soft dollar arrangements, and operational support. She was responsible for marketing, sales, service, and driving trading revenue. Katrina also was instrumental in launching the Hybrid RIA business, as well as securing strategic partnerships. Before being promoted to CEO, Katrina was the COO and was responsible for the day-to-day operations along with overseeing new business initiatives, technology solutions, and operational efficiencies.

Prior to working in the securities industry, Katrina had a twenty-year career in the hospitality industry.

Katrina holds Series 6, 7, 24, and 63 securities licenses.
