Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
WIPN's DEI committee champions diversity in the retirement industry, focusing on women of color, LGBTQ+, and differently abled women. Through events, guidance, and educational outreach, especially at HBCUs, it aims to break barriers and foster inclusive work environments. This initiative enhances industry diversity, driving innovation and better decision-making.
Diversity's Impact on Leadership and Financial Success
WIPN’s DEI committee supports the organizations mission to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the retirement industry, with thought leadership, content, and events. Efforts are geared to identify and combat barriers that prevent the inclusion and success of intersectional women, including women of color, LGBTQ women and differently abled women.
The WIPN DEI committee influences the creation of inclusive working environments by attracting a diverse membership base and audience with the support of sponsors and business partnerships. Our efforts help recruit and retain a diverse group of women in the industry that can best serve diverse participant populations on their retirement journey.
According to McKinsey’s, Why Diversity Matters, companies in the top quartile for gender or racial and ethnic diversity are more likely to have financial returns above their national industry medians.
Diverse leaderships can foster talent pipelines of attracting, developing, mentoring, sponsoring, and retaining the next generation of global leaders at all levels of organization.
Diverse and equitable workplaces and boardrooms foster innovation and better decision-making for improved economic results.
WIPN's diversity focus provides for an active pipeline of talent to provide a diverse prospective for sponsor's in their pursuit of talent.
