Roberta Eckert joined Nationwide in 2013 and has been in the Financial Services Industry for over 27 years. She is a Vice President of Nationwide’s Retirement Institute working in the Insights & Solutions Field Team.
In her role, she speaks to thousands of financial professionals, their clients, plan sponsors and plan participants annually about retirement income planning strategies and their effective implementation. Drawing upon her lengthy career in the financial services industry and her unique ability to engage with audiences of all types, Roberta consistently delivers a meaningful and compelling message.
Prior to Nationwide, Roberta worked as a wholesaler, Divisional Vice President, Sales Development Leader, Senior Relationship Manager and National Spokesperson for several Tier 1 firms. During her career, Roberta has earned recognition as a top-performing wholesaler and has won awards based on sales achievement and leadership. While at Nationwide, Roberta has consistently qualified for the President’s Council and has been awarded the Nationwide Retirement Institute’s Thought Leader of the Year award.
She is frequently sought out by the media, including Kiplinger’s, Wealth Advisor and CNN, for her insights on Social Security benefits and the financial issues facing women today. Her areas of focus are retirement income planning and distribution, affluent investor acquisition, and the unique issues facing women as they navigate retirement.
Roberta graduated from Franklin & Marshall College with degrees in Economics and German. In addition to CRPC, CHSA, CLTC, RICP and RCC designations, Roberta holds the FINRA Series 24, 7, 66 and 63 licenses.
